We are thrilled to announce our hours will be expanding starting the week of Sept. 26th as we welcome Audrey Barrett, Licensed Acupuncturist to our team of providers.
These clinics are here for you, and for the community. We are here because we love acupuncture, and we know how much it can help change people's lives. We've seen firsthand that when you can make acupuncture part of your life, it can help with your chronic pain, and your allergies, and your hormones, your digestion, your blood pressure, and your grief, your low energy and your stress, with losing weight and maintaining a fitness program-- and with that nagging feeling that your health is just not as good as it could be.
We are a busy clinic and so appointment are highly recommended and walk-ins are taken based on availability.
Ultimately we want acupuncture to help lead folks back to their center, their strengths, their vitality, to the things they need and love to do, so that they can live their lives to their greatest potential-- because there's nothing better than that!!
CAS does not rely on chasing after unreliable insurance money or finite federal aid. We have deliberately chosen to cut out the middlemen and keep our energy and resources in our community, where we can rely on, and help one another. We do not bill insurance companies, instead we have a sliding scale to help make it affordable to everyone. Rather than being part of the what's wrong with the medical system, we strive to be part of the solution.
CAS is part of POCA, a growing Co-Op of over 250 community clinics around the country, where hundreds of thousands of people are getting treated this way-- both patients and practitioners love it!
Acupuncture treatments should be simple, frequent, and regular--- that is how they are most effective. Acupuncture in Asia has traditionally been done this way and is often practiced very inexpensively, in a communal setting. Community Acupuncture is designed to remove the barrier of cost so that patients can receive good quality acupuncture frequently enough to be healthy. It's also designed so that there are enough patient visits to provide acupuncturists with a livable income so we can keep on poking' people and helping them stay well.
The most common things we treat here is pain, stress and however stress shows up in your body; for example, insomnia, digestive disorders, headaches, shoulder tension, back pain, anxiety, depression, menstural disorders, fatigue, weight gain, or poor mental focus. Treatments usually last one hour to an hour and a half and most people report feeling very relaxed when they leave.
